Currently a powerful catergory 4 cyclone with sustained winds near 150 mph, the storm is expected to maintain its strength or potentially even strengthen some more before making landfall on the Bangladeshi coast some time tomorrow. Cyclones in this region have historically generated devastating storm surges in the very low lying coastal nation? which have resulted in enormous loss of life (several instances where deaths numbered in the? hundreds of thousands). This looks to be just about as close to a worst case scenario for this already vulnerable region as can be imagined??10,000,000 people live along the immediate coast near where the storm will likely make landfall. A man suspected of involvement in the murder of exchange student Meredith Kercher is due to appear in court in Germany. Rudy Hermann Guede was arrested for travelling without a ticket on a train near Wiesbaden. Italian detectives had launched a manhunt for Guede, who has dual Italian and Ivory Coast nationality, after finding a bloody fingerprint in the apartment in Perugia where 21 year old Miss Kercher was murdered earlier this month. The print matched none of the three suspects police had in custody, and it was reported they used an internet sting to try to lure Guede back to Italy. A spokesman for German prosecutors in Koblenz, who have taken over Guede's case, said a judge would rule whether or not he can be kept in custody on the Italian warrant.
